The Scopes Trial Showed Compromise on Genesis Doesn’t Pay
July 21, 2025, was the 100th anniversary of the final day of the widely followed Scopes trial in Dayton, TN, where the truth of the Bible was essentially put on trial for the nation to see. Sadly, the Christian defending the Bible compromised on Genesis, allowing for millions of years, and was unable to answer certain questions about the truth of Genesis. And the results are still felt today!
“Christian” on Joe Rogan Argues the Bible Is Pro-Abortion—How Do His Arguments Hold Up to Scripture?
A recent guest on the podcast The Joe Rogan Experience was Texas State Representative James Talarico, who is also a professing progressive Christian. In a four-minute clip, Talarico argues that there is “no historical, theological, biblical basis” for saying Christians must oppose abortion and that “this idea that there is a set Christian orthodoxy on the issue of abortion, it’s just not rooted in Scripture.” And then Talarico goes even further to argue that the Bible is actually pro-abortion.
In support of his claims, he made another statement that should immediately ring alarm bells for every Christian.
